Ways YOU can HELP!
Host a book drive: Host a book drive at your office, school or within your civic group to help defray the cost of books for our book club members and deserving students.
Host a School Read-a-thon: Your Company can host a corporate-sponsored read-a-thon by mobilizing volunteers to read to students in a classroom setting for one (1) hour. Read-a-thons are 2-hour themed events hosted at one of our partner schools. Read-a-thons are scheduled from 8 to 10 a.m. on a mutually preferred day/date. Read, engage and inspire in ONE HOUR!
Adopt a Classroom or Grade-Level Classrooms: We partner with 10 schools throughout metro Atlanta by hosting a virtual book club. Each school has a small group of students who participate in our book club. Each member receives a book to read and discuss during the ELA (English Language Arts) scheduled time. Students participate in community discussion, writing and hands-on activities to strengthen comprehension, vocabulary and requisite grade-level standards. Upon completion of the book, students keep the selection to build their own home library.
